Lamb

Our lambs are processed late summer through late fall. The meat is frozen and packed in a cardboard box for pick-up at the farm. A full lamb share (one whole lamb, processed into individual cuts) fits in a standard milk crate.

Lambs are priced per pound by hanging weight, and our 2011 price is $7.25/pound for full lamb shares and $8.25/pound for half shares. Full shares vary in weight from 30-60 pounds hanging weight, but average 40 pounds. In turn, the weight of the meat you will receive (custom cut and packaged) is approximately 60% of hanging weight.

Once we receive your order, we’ll contact you to verify your order. As fall approaches, we will let you know the date your order will be available for pickup at our farm.
