Mike Scott owns a small flock of his own, a “Brown Bettie” mixed breed that he began with when he was given two ewe lambs after graduating from the University of Vermont in 2007. Mike has a good grasp of both husbandry and tractor mechanics, and is an integral partner when to comes to making hay and conducting flock vaccinations and hoof trimming. His years on UVM’s cross-country running team also serve us well when it comes time to herd the flock up (we’re still waiting on the sheep dog). |
